TECHNICAL NOTE:
these are 130 volt; and, on a 120 volt circuit, according to the Handbook of the Illuminating Engineer's Society of the USA, a 130v lamp on a 120v circuit will yield at least 20% less lumens, but deliver over double the life in hours. In addition, the rough service filament this lamp has always give less light; for example, a household 100 watt G E bulb gives about 1700 lumens but the rough service industrial version only gives about 1100....
Down here in Alabama we have such horrible voltage surges that I have to stock this kind of lamp.note also that this is a substitute for the
two-piece PAR38 which has a longer neck and more light. Unfortunately, those are not available from us in 150 watt, we can't find any (as of the time I write this)  in 150w due to the new laws passed by Congress on the energy efficiency standards. The only reason we can get this 150w is the exemption for rough service bulbs.(See National Energy Policy Act and subsequent legislation and regulations from the Energy Dept.)
