Original Vintage Flash Gordon Sword - SIGNED "FLASH".
Vintage original prop scimitar constructed of cast resin and expertly painted metallic gold and lacquered red with curved blade and star embellishment.  Measuring approximately 46.25 x 8 x 2.25 in.
Exhibiting age and production wear with chipping to paint.  In vintage good condition. Sold as is. See photos.
The guards of Ming the Merciless (Max von Sydow) were armed with swords to protect their emperor. Sam J. Jones as "FLASH" prominently wielded a sword after disrupting Ming and Dale's (Melody Anderson) wedding.
Flash Gordon was primarily filmed in England on several soundstages at Elstree and Shepperton Studios.
